Jessie Reyez & Jameson Irish Whiskey host ‘Before Love Came to Kill Us’ virtual album release

Today, Grammy nominated singer songwriter Jessie Reyez announced a livestream album performance of ‘Before Love Came to Kill Us’ on YouTube. The Colombian Canadian artist will be live streaming tonight at midnight Irish time, 7pm EST. At a time when a large number of creative artists are out of work, Jessie has partnered with her friends at Jameson to kick off ‘Jameson Connects: The Stay Inn’ series to help raise funds for those in need amid the global pandemic.
A perfect partnership, ‘Jameson Connects: The Stay Inn’ Series opens up a virtual communal space for fans to connect through culture, craic and curated content. Jameson is using the series to support artists and their crews who have had their tours, festivals and gigs cancelled by partnering with them to entertain fans in the safety of their homes. Last year Jessie, who’s personally and publicly a fan of Jameson, shot a fireside chat and acoustic jam session with the Irish whiskey brand.
Earlier this month, Jessie hit the road with global superstar Billie Eilish before the tour, like many global music industry events, was abruptly halted due to the Covid-19 global pandemic. Releasing the album during this time left Jessie conflicted. Speaking to The New York Times on her decision to not move the album release date, Jessie stated “It messed me up because I was like ‘I don’t want to seem insensitive.’ I’ve grown up thinking about death as something that could easily happen tomorrow. But I know that for everybody else, there’s a lot of fear right now. I’m conflicted. But I’ve decided I’m putting it out because indecision never did anything for nobody.”
On Friday March 27, Jessie released her critically acclaimed debut album Before Love Came To Kill Us and will be performing new tracks from the project in an effort to raise funds for those in needs and call her fans to action to donate to charities such as Together Rising, Feeding America, United Way Canada, and MusiCares.
