Teeling Whiskey comes away with “Best Irish Grain Whiskey” at
2021 Irish Whiskey Awards
Teeling Whiskey, Ireland’s leading progressive Irish whiskey, is extremely proud to announce that it has claimed the honour of “Best Irish Grain Whiskey” for its recently launched Teeling 13 Year Old Single Grain at the 2021 Irish Whiskey Awards held last night at the Powerscourt Distillery. Teeling Whiskey was also honoured with Gold Medals for both its Dublin distilled Teeling Single Pot Still and Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt. These awards follow on from earlier success at the 2021 World Whiskies Awards and the Irish Whiskey Masters where Teeling Whiskey continues to be acknowledged as a producer of world class whiskeys.

Teeling Whiskey released the latest in its award-winning Single Grain range with its new Teeling 13-Year-Old Irish Single Grain in July of this year. The 13-Year-Old release consists of triple distilled Irish whiskey distilled predominantly from maize, initially matured for 9 years in ex-Bourbon barrels before being given extra maturation for over 4 years in ex-Bordeaux Red Wine casks and bottled at 50% to capture all its natural flavour. This release is only their second and oldest release of Single Grain following on from the multi-award winning core offering of Teeling Whiskey Single Grain, first released in 2013 and honoured on numerous occasions as the World’s Best Irish Single Grain.
Speaking on the award wins, Jack Teeling, founder of Teeling Whiskey said “We are proud that our Teeling Whiskeys continue to be recognised as the Best Irish whiskeys in the world both at home and abroad. We are particularly pleased that our efforts to create a new category of Irish whiskey with our Single Grain releases have been recognised and we look forward to building on these successes with our pipeline of new and exciting releases for 2022.”
The Irish Whiskey Awards started in 2013 and have quickly become the premier Irish whiskey awards show due to the judging process. This year the awards were held in Powerscourt Distillery where Jack Teeling, the Founder and Manager Director of Teeling Whiskey was the keynote speaker and presented the awards on the night. Now in its eighth year and spanning over 12 categories, it honours the very best of Irish whiskey.
